The cup is ready to go somewhere new!
Sean and I are heading up to the cottage on Thursday night so please feel free to come any time on Friday.
Notes on the race:
Everyone will start at the same time for Leg 1, unless they have not met the previously listed conditions. For the second Leg, the first place team will leave immdiately, followed 20 seconds later by the second team, and so on. The winners of the first 3 legs will receive either
A yield: force another team to sit out for one full minute. Can be used at any point during the race by turning it in to me. Cannot be used in the 5th Leg.
An express pass: can be used to skip any task, detour or roadblock. Can be used at any point except the 5th Leg by turning it in to me.
A u-turn: force another team to complete BOTH tasks in a detour, OR use to to negate someone's express pass.

Preparing for the Race
This year's rules - subject to change! ;)
1. We race rain or no rain.
2. Each team needs a flashlight.
3. Each team needs a camera that can take pictures and small videos - phones are fine. If you don't have one, let me know.
4. No using phones for looking shit up unless otherwise stated.
5. Absolutely no tampering with or sabotaging another team's stuff. Luc, this means you. Cheaters will not be awarded the cup.
6. There will be 5 legs to the race. Each team member must complete at least 2 roadblocks (except for Gertie),
7. Cheaters will be eliminated. Everyone else gets to stay in the race, but time penalties will be assessed at the start of the next leg.
We will be racing Saturday, August 29th at sundown, 7:30-8pm. I will prepare a LIGHT meal shortly before the race for everyone to share.
All other food, booze, towels and elsewise, you can bring for yourself.

On your mark, get set....
Last year we ran an intense race in honour of Matt's 33rd birthday. Luc and Mel, considered the under dogs, were able to pull out a surprise win. They've carried the title and the trophy for nearly a year, but this, folks, is the end of that era.
I'm announcing to you today our next challenge - the Amazing Race: After Dark edition.
That's right. Game play starts after sunset on August 29th.
Returning champs Luc and Mel must relinquish their trophy.
